Dorland's Pocket Medical Dictionary

I am a professional medical provider (physical therapist) and am currently taking courses in medical coding. This dictionary has been invaluable for quick reference. So far, I've found very little that is not in the pocket version. I also have the unabridged version but find it too clumsy to carry around. This dictionary is my favorite reference, usually a "go to first" and very reasonably priced.

I have been purchasing different medical dictionaries within the last 35 years. Although Taber's Medical Dictionary is my old-time favorite, I also needed a pocket medical dictionary for quick reference. Dorland's Pocket Dictionary is extremely useful, and informative. I found it to be as helpful as Taber's Dictionary, and it's packed with tons of information, as well as providing illustrations. The medical terminology is right at your fingertips as an excellent quick reference guide, and I always carried it around in my tote-bag. As a Pocket Medical Dictionary, it comes in very handy when needed, and is worth every penny. Highly recommended to all healthcare professionals!

Compact & Well Bound

This is a very nice reference material. It's got great binding and a nice bendable yet resilient cover. The middle section is all anatomy pictures which is very helpful in a reference guide. It also comes with a code for the Dorland's online medical library and medical spell checker. I was hoping this would be light enough to carry in my bag to wherever I'm studying but it's a pretty heavy reference material, that's my only criticism- and really, it has to be heavy to be what it is.
